I grow up in China, and study abroad in the United States for my undergraduate in Health Promotion with a minor in Psychology. Last month, I graduated with my master degree in Health Education and Communication program from the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health (JHSPH).
I have a strong interest in Non-Communicable Diseases. Previously, I worked as a health communication intern at PAHO (the Regional Office for the Americas of the WHO). Next month, I will start a new research position in the Department of Health Policy and Management at JHSPH. In addition, I have had several research experience in tobacco control, patient-provider communication, and mental health. In the meantime, I enjoy participating various volunteer activities in local community. In the future, I would like to work at an international health organization and to save lives by closing the gap between knowledge and action in public health.
My interest in GHNGN started during my internship at PAHO/WHO in 2016 when I met Andreea Badache who is the Projects Manager who introduced me to the GHNGN activities. I joined GHNGN as a Social Medial Writer with the aims to improve health awareness and knowledge, as well as advocate for healthy lifestyles for people around the world. I want to serve as a health resource for health education and promotion by using plain language to reach everyone.
As the Social Media Writer, I am responsible for managing the Network’s social media identifing collaborative opportunities for social media engagement.
