External title: Ph.D in Global Health and Sustainability
I am a researcher with a Ph.D in Global Health and Sustainability from the University of São Paulo. My background is Geography and I also pursued a Master in International Health, both in Barcelona.
Currently, I am a GIS Data Analyst at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (LSTM, Liverpool, UK) in a project to Increase the impact of vector control in Burkina Faso, Cameroon and Malawi. I am interested in infectious diseases, health inequalities and geography of health. My skills are Geographic Information Systems and the use of spatial statistics to understand health outcomes.
As a former student of global health, I understand that global health problems should be tackle in multiple ways. Therefore, a global network of young professionals that recognise the complexity of this problems is essential to improve the response to them. Besides, there is a lack of guidance for young global health practitioners and the GHNGN might help them to find their path in this passionate topic.
I am a Latin America coordinator, my responsibility is to coordinate activities in the Latin America region, organising hangouts, write news with topics and problems related to there and, raise interest among enthusiastic people in the region.
