My name is Joceline, originally from Curaçao and currently living in the Netherlands. I became increasingly interested in the field of Global Health during my master studies. My personal interest in Global Health lies in comparative research of health systems research in small island developing states.
From the very beginning I knew about the network I was very excited to become a part of GHNGN. It started out with visiting the first conference. After the conference I felt so inspired that I decided that I want to have role in setting up the network. With this network and our projects I hope to create opportunities for students and young professionals to network and be a voice in global health.
From October 2014 I’ve been active as a team member for GHNGN. I first started out as the partnership coordinator. Currently I hold the position of Project / Partnership Manager at GHNGN. We have 4 main projects running at GHNGN. The annual conference (NextGen), the Global Health Mentorships (GHMe) in collaboration with the Swedish Network for International Health (SNIH), Global Health Hangouts (GH2) and the Global Health Scientific Collection in collaboration with Science Open (SO). My tasks entail coordination of projects, monitoring and evaluation and the development of new projects with the team.
