About the project
The Peer2Peer sessions is a GHNGN online project that aims to bring together individuals at different stages of their careers in Global Health by providing a space to share experiences and practical information about studies, research and/or professional endeavours.
About the format
Every Peer2peer session is composed of a panel of three speakers, one facilitator and an audience of maximum 10 people. All participants must be registered and have a device with a good internet connection to be able to take part in the session.
The duration of each session is around 1.5-2 hrs. Most sessions consist of a first section where the panel does a brief self-introduction, shares information and personal experiences, and a second section where the panel answers the audience questions. However, different session formats can be agreed upon between the participants.
The audio of the sessions will be recorded and uploaded to the GHNGN website in our (soon to come) podcast section.
About the sessions
Each of the sessions focuses on a specific topic related to Global Health and/or a career in Global Health. Some examples of the topics are:
- Student perspectives of Global Health graduate programs in a specific region or country (including admission procedures, funding opportunities, duration of studies, etc)
- Young professional tips on how to advance your career in Global Health (CV, letter of motivation, networking, etc)
- Fields/ Areas of Global Health research (NCDs, Maternal Health, AMR, etc)
